We are a micro-business. We would love to expand. For two people, with a huge deductible, we're paying about $8,000 per year. But we just received our increase: Our health insurance rate is jumping a whopping 46 percent! That wipes out any money we could use for expanding. And at these rates, there is no way we can afford to hire anyone. None of our vendors have passed along these kind of rate increases -- just health insurance.
Why are health insurance costs rising so obscenely when nothing else is rising at these rates? Not even oil is rising so fast!
